Parking - where is parking available and is there a cost? Parking lots are available around Community Park, Savage City Campus, Bridgewood Church, Cub Foods, Life Time Fitness, Hyvee and is FREE (note: parking does fill up fast, so arrive early or consider using rideshare companies or carpool). Handicap parking is available on the north end of Community Park near the ball fields.
What if it's raining or bad weather? Although event organizers hope for sunny skies, there is always a chance of rain or a summer storm. In the event of inclement weather, visit the Dan Patch Days website and social media channels (Facebook and Instagram) for the most up-to-date information on the status of events, including closings or postponements. Dan Patch Days tickets are non-refundable.
Can I bring a lawn chair to the event? Collapsible lawn chairs are OK to bring to the event. Please make sure they go home with you or they will be thrown away after the concert. Can I bring in my own food and beverages to the event? Outside food and beverages, and coolers are NOT allowed in Community Park Friday and Saturday. We have a variety of food vendors in the park and will be selling a variety of beers, wine, soda, and water. You must be 21 years of age of older to purchase alcohol. Alcohol sales end at 10:45pm (Friday and Saturday evenings). Bags and strollers are subject to a search when entering festival gates.
What items to leave at home: Please leave the following items at home: coolers, oversized umbrellas, food and beverage. Guns are not permitted on Dan Patch Days grounds (Community Park, Savage, MN). Bottles, cans, glass containers, professional cameras bags, laser pointers, bags and strollers are subject to a search when entering festival gates.
Are we able to leave the park and gain readmittance? Once your admission ticket is accepted/scanned, there will be no readmittance if you leave Dan Patch Days festival grounds.
Are pets allowed in Community Park during Dan Patch Days? We strongly encourage guests of Dan Patch Days to leave their pets at home due to the number of attendees. If you choose to bring your well-behaved pet to the event, you are required to keep them leashed at all times and clean up after your pet (you must bring your own pet clean up supplies). Community Park is used by Dan Patch Days for the Dan Patch Days celebration.
Thursday night Savage Rotary Craft Beer & Wine Tasting Fundraiser: The Thursday night Savage Rotary Craft Beer and Wine Tasting Fundraiser event is a ticketed event and attendees must be 21 years of age of older event. No one under the age of 21 will be allowed at this event, even if accompanied by an adult. Tickets for this event can be purchased at Marketplace Liquor, Savage Wine & Spirits, or from Savage Rotary Club members.
Friday night Dan Patch Days event: Friday nights event is open to everyone; however, a purchased ticket is required for anyone age 5 and older (children must be accompanied by an adult at all times). Friday night consists of live music, and food and drink vendors in the park. Please note, there are NO children's activities on Friday night.
Tickets for Friday night's music event can be purchased online(online ordering closes at 12pm on the Friday of DPD Weekend). Tickets are non-refundable. Tickets are available at the gate (cash/credit card - ATMs are available onsite).
How can my organization or business get involved? There are various ways that businesses and organizations can become involved in the Dan Patch Day celebration. Sponsorship, food vendor or as a volunteer group… to name a few! Can I use cash in the park, or do I have to buy tickets? We will be selling a $7 ticket that can be redeemed for a beer and two $7 tickets that can be redeemed for a signature cocktail. Those will be the only tickets for sale on Friday/Saturday.

Is there a cost to get into Dan Patch Days? The cost to attend Dan Patch Days depends on what day/night you attend. Thursday Night: Savage Rotary Beer and Wine Tasting ~ $30 per ticket. Friday Night: Dan Patch Days tickets ~ $20 per ticket at the gate (purchase in advance online or cash onsite day-of-event). Saturday: FREE admission (to get into Community Park and listen to the band!). Tickets are available onsite for purchase for kids' inflatables and the beer tent (tickets for purchase with cash only - we have ATMs available onsite). The Dan Patch Day Parade is free to attend. What does Dan Patch Days do with the proceeds from the event? Dan Patch Days, Inc. is a volunteer organization that is not funded by the city. Most of the money received is used to put on the event each year. Over the past six years, Dan Patch Days has also given back more than $150,000 to community organizations. In addition, the organization maintains a reserve fund in case of a bad weather year, to ensure the event can continue in the future!
