Parade registration is NOW OPEN & NEW in 2012 Neighborhood Float Contest!!
On behalf of Savage Dan Patch Days, we would like to formally invite you and your group to participate in our Dan Patch Days parade which is being held on Sunday, June 24, 2012. We are very excited about our 23rd Annual Parade. We are proud of our heritage, which includes being the home of the world famous pacer “Dan Patch” and his owner Marion W. Savage, after whom the parade has been named.
To reserve a spot in this year’s parade, please visit our website at www.danpatchdays.org. Simply click on “Sunday”, then “Savage Parade”, then “2012 Participation and Signup”, then “Parade Registration and Waiver Form”. If you do not have access to the internet you may also register by calling our hotline at 952-440-6255. It will be most helpful if you include the name of your organization along with your contact person, address, your fee (if any), the type of entry you have, whether or not you will be having music, and your email address. You will also be asked to read and sign our new waiver form.
2012 Parade Entry Fees
Commercial (For Profit) and Political Groups
$75 The $75 entry fee will be waived for all Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors. Please visit our website at danpatchdays.org to see how your group can become a Dan Patch Days sponsor.
Non Profit Groups
$25 Please remit your entry fee (if applicable) to Dan Patch Days, PO Box 1, Savage, MN 55378 by June 1, 2012.
NEW EVENT!! Neighborhood Parade Float Contest
“Everyone Loves a Parade” and this year community members can sign up to be a participant…instead of just watching from the curb! This years Dan Patch Days Parade will include a Neighborhood Float Contest! Gather your neighbors, put your heads together, and come up with a rockin’ float to enter in this year’s parade. It’s easy! We will provide a theme and the rest is up to you (and your neighbors). Winners will receive: $200 first place, $100 second place, $50 third place. The rules are simple:
1. The contest is limited to the first eight entries
2. The contest is open to all neighborhoods within the Savage city limits
3. Your float must be “family friendly”
4. It’s FREE to enter
