The festivities begin bright and early ~ Everyone is invited up to the new Fire Department 60 at the Savage City Hall Campus for a Pancake Breakfast and Open House from 7:30am-11:30am hosted by the Savage Fire Department.
After eating a great breakfast, be sure to head downtown Savage to get your spot secured for the 2012 Grande Parade! Due to construction the parade route will be slightly modified, please see attached documnet for the new route. NEW this year will be a Neighborhood Float Contest! See Registration form for more details. The Dan Patch Days Parade is a huge draw for businesses,organizations and neighborhoods, so register early....space is limited!
FYI - The entire community is invited to join in and do their part to clean up the Community Park. Come on folks, we’re all in this together. It takes hundreds of volunteers to make Dan Patch Days the great community event that it is. And from setup to cleanup, lending a hand is a great way to connect with your community and meet other residents. To volunteer, click on Volunteers. Set Up and Clean Up Volunteers are Needed for Dan Patch Days – Dan Patch Days is a community celebration that is not possible without volunteers.
If you are an individual, family or community organization looking to volunteer in your Community, Dan Patch Days is a great place to do it! Lots of volunteers are needed to make this event a success. We have many volunteer opportunities available ranging from just a few hours of commitment. We are especially in need of volunteers on
Thursday, June 21st from 3pm-8pm and Saturday, June 23rd from 9:00am-12:00pm to help with set up for the Event.
We could also use as many volunteers as possible to come to the park on Sunday, June 24th and help with take down and clean up as well. We ask that Volunteers be ages 14 and up.
Anyone who is interested in working should call the Savage Chamber of Commerce at 952-894-8876. Volunteers will receive a Dan Patch Days t-shirt and bottle of water when they check in for their shift.

The inflatable's are located at the North Side of Community Park and are fun for nearly every age! This year you will have twice as much time to enjoy the inflatable's as we have expanded the inflatable fun into Sunday as well!
The cost is $10 for a 1-Day Wristband – Saturday or Sunday OR $17.00 for a 2-Day Wristband – Saturday and Sunday. Individual inflatables are 5 Tickets each without a Wristband.
Mechanical Bull, Spider Mountain, and Rock Wall are 8 Tickets and NOT included in the unlimited wristband price.
Euro Bungee is 14 Tickets and NOT included in the unlimited wristband price

On behalf of Savage Dan Patch Days, we would like to formally invite you and your group to participate in our Dan Patch Days parade which is being held on Sunday, June 24, 2012. We are very excited about our 23rd Annual Parade. We are proud of our heritage, which includes being the home of the world famous pacer “Dan Patch” and his owner Marion W. Savage, after whom the parade has been named.
To reserve a spot in this year’s parade, please visit our website at www.danpatchdays.org. Simply click on “Sunday”, then “Savage Parade”, then “2012 Participation and Signup”, then “Parade Registration and Waiver Form”. If you do not have access to the internet you may also register by calling our hotline at 952-440-6255. It will be most helpful if you include the name of your organization along with your contact person, address, your fee (if any), the type of entry you have, whether or not you will be having music, and your email address. You will also be asked to read and sign our new waiver form.

NEW EVENT!! Neighborhood Parade Float Contest
“Everyone Loves a Parade” and this year community members can sign up to be a participant…instead of just watching from the curb! This years Dan Patch Days Parade will include a Neighborhood Float Contest! Gather your neighbors, put your heads together, and come up with a rockin’ float to enter in this year’s parade. It’s easy! We will provide a theme and the rest is up to you (and your neighbors). Winners will receive: $200 first place, $100 second place, $50 third place. The rules are simple:
1. The contest is limited to the first eight entries
2. The contest is open to all neighborhoods within the Savage city limits
3. Your float must be “family friendly”
4. It’s FREE to enter
